Arsene Wenger has come out to defend Arsenal’s anti-doping record amid confusion For Alexis Sanchez missing anti-doping test amid his move to Man United on Monday.
Arsenal head coach, Arsene, clearly states that Alexis missing the drug test was purely due to special circumstances considering his schedule for the day.
Arsene further states the Chilean forward has undergone numerous tests before and hence this one day is due to unavoidable circumstances.

“It’s a bad day for Alexis to get tested. It’s his special day as he makes his move to Man United”, Arsene says.
“Honestly, on the administration side, it would still be our responsibility – on the day, he had not moved so maybe it is our responsibility.
“I do not know what happened but we always try to make our players available.”
Arsene Wenger has been a strong advocate for anti-doping regulations in football. Hence, he would not be the same to intimidate the process; he reasons.
Wenger added: “I always pushed for football to do more against doping so I do not see why we should not co-operate. We try our best but this was a special day.
“The most important is the intention is right. The intention of Alexis Sanchez was certainly not to hide, nor was it out intention to hide anything.”
